Sarah joined the organisation in 2010 as Finance Officer. As the company grew, so did Sarah’s role! She took over the running of our day centre for adults with disabilities in 2011. The centre has gone from strength to strength and Sarah is now running this full time and couldn’t be happier.

Liane joined us in February 2019 from Hamelin Trust. She is NVQ5 qualified in Health & Social Care Management and her experience includes supporting adults with physical and learning disabilities as well as individuals with long term and life limiting illness.  In her own time Liane enjoys playing hockey for Southend Ladies.

Kelly joined us in September 2018 and is a Senior Support Worker. Previously  Kelly worked in the community supporting adults with disabilities. I enjoy being able to build relationships with the clients that we support over time and the difference we can make by knowing them really well.

Joe has worked for the Centre for over 10 years and is a Senior Support Worker. Joe says she loves working with the clients as every day is different and can be challenging. Chris is our cook, she has worked within the organisation for nearly 10 years.  Over time having supported clients in the kitchen with cooking and other life skills, she has extended her role to becoming a part-time-support worker/activity planner for the Centre.

Amy has worked for the Centre since 2016. Amy said: 'I enjoy my work here because I have fun with the clients'. Amy previously worked at a children's nursery. Amy enjoys watching football with friends and supporting Southend when they are playing at home.

Margaret joined us 2 years ago after moving down to be nearer to her Mum. Her fun loving character is a joy to the families she visits. Margaret loves to take out her disabled son out as often as she can.

Teresa, previously worked at a secondary school for 12 years as a LSA and been working for the Rainbow Centre for 18 months, after being made redundant. She said she has found a job that she very much enjoys adding 'Working here I feel a valued member of the team and appreciated for the support and care that we give to the clients.'

Terri has worked at the Centre since 2019, she previously worked for residential care home for adults with learning disabilities. Terri said:'From my first day as a support worker I realised that this was the job I that I had been looking for'. The team here look out for each other, and work together well.  I love greeting all our clients every morning and I can honestly say I Love My Job!
