Book Club Numbers Growing

We were pleased to see our Book Club gaining popularity with more avid readers coming along this week to meet others who love to read. The group, organised by Anna Hearn, meets at The Coffee Grind in Benfleet and is keen to encourage more people to come along. Anna said “It’s a really friendly group. We have interesting discussions about our chosen book and then decide which book to read next.”

The group has chosen ‘I Saw a Man’ by Owen Sheers as it’s book to read ahead of the next meeting on Tuesday 14th May from 10.00 to 11.30am. If anyone would like to go along there’s no need to book as everyone is welcome.

Michaela White from Carers Choices who operate The Coffee Grind as part of the charity’s work said “We are really pleased to be able to provide a venue for the group. Our idea for the café is that it becomes a hub for the community and would love to see other groups operate from here.”
