Respite Care Worker
Basildon/Wickford and Castle Point areas
We are looking to recruit additional staff to our current team of fantastic workers who provide a vital short respite break for family carers. As a charity our role is to support those who look after loved ones and our Respite in the Home service allows family carers to have some much needed 'me' time. Our service provides quality care for the cared for while giving reassurance to carers that their loved ones are well looked after. Our staff really get to know our clients and their families and feel valued for their contribution in relieving some of the stress family carers face.
Working in the Basildon or Castle Point areas you will work for a company that cares about its staff as much as it does for its clients. You can work anything from around 16 hours to 37.5 hours per week.
Most of your visits will be at least one hour with many lasting for a whole morning or afternoon - so there is no rushing in or out.
You will need a full driving licence and a car to travel to clients houses and occasionally take clients out. We often assist clients to get ready in the morning and then bring them into one of our day centres.
If you don't have any qualifications in care don't worry we will train you to get the Care Certificate.
